Invisable red lights

I'm pretty new to this sim (Trainz EE), when I go to scenarios (Banks Heath) I find I can only go a short distance past the first station before I come to a set of unlit lights, if I go past them I'm told that I have passed a red light and the sim stops. I think there must be some little secret with the switching of junctions or something of that nature. Thanks too anyone who tells me how to overcome this.

You have to wait for the guards whistle/green tick. Then the sigs will clear.
On saying that some of the scenarios do not work in 2010.
If you've been sat there for ages with no signal change its probably 1 of them.
Go in to map view and zoom in, you'll maybe see a red light in front of the loco.
