Interlocking Signals and points

Hi all,

I'm working on a freelance route and I want to interlock a VR junction signal to several sets of points. I just tested the junction and no matter which way the route's set, only the top semaphore arm will show proceed. How do i set the properties so only a specific arm will change depending on the route set?

Also is there a way to connect two points together, so one click can change two at the same time?

Cheers,
Craig.

What is the semaphor in question? I believe a few of these are not built to use the lower arms.

I link turnouts using "Juction Controller v3 <Kuid:439337:100957>" by msgsapper.

I was testing it with "VR 2pos Sem Junction Home Timber 3 Way Straight 1 disc LHS" kuud: 1854:53163.

Hi K163
These signals won't automatically detect the junctions, as some older ones did. This is because the code to automatically detect the junctions wasn't overly reliable...

Instead, they are designed to use special 'target' objects, found under 'Sig T' in the trackside objects menu, to tell it which track should give which indication. Specifically, the objects to use are:

<kuid2:60850:23901:4> Sig T Feather Straight<kuid2:60850:23902:4> Sig T Danger
<kuid2:60850:23911:4> Sig T Feather Left 1 (pos 1)
<kuid2:60850:23912:4> Sig T Feather Left 2 (pos 2)
<kuid2:60850:23913:4> Sig T Feather Left 3 (pos 3)
<kuid2:60850:23921:4> Sig T Feather Right 1 (pos 4)
<kuid2:60850:23922:4> Sig T Feather Right 2 (pos 5)
<kuid2:60850:23923:4> Sig T Feather Right 3 (pos 6)

For the signal you mentioned, 'straight' will operate the center arm, 'left 1' will operate the left hand arm, 'right 1' will operate the right hand arm, and 'left 2' will operate the disc. You place the target on each of the tracks leading away from the signal (but before the next signal) to specify which is tied to each 'aspect' (arm). If you load the Healesville route using the 'create session', you'll be able to see a few of them placed around Lilydale yard, which will give an idea of how they get placed.

The other option is to use the new interlocking system in TANE, which is a little more complex (but also more controlled).

Zec
