To add: my PC builder who I've worked with for the last 10 years on all my PC builds:

Intel have tried to ignore the issues for over a year and only recently are they saying there is a problem. I would not recommend going with them, both for the risk to having a CPU die and also for the way they have handled the situation. If you decide to go with intel then you better have a good warranty in case something goes wrong!

Only issue for me now is whether people think the R7 7800X3D is a reasonable CPU for Trainz.
