Installing 2010 SP2 How Long

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to install 2010 sp2 ,i have already installed sp1 that took 30 minutes max

Have a quick look through the forum before you do. Seems to have created more problems than it solved.

An hour at least probably longer and it didn't cause any problems here, do an Extended Database repair before running the patch if its not too late, I had no errors that were not there before the patch which I can only presume was because due to an accidental power off that required a Database repair the night before I ran the patch.

Why is there no warning about sp2 , it has caused me a gut load of trouble .first time i installed sp2 it took like 5 hours ,then i installed last night again and it took about 1hour 15 minutes, my local file and screen shots folders were taken away god knows where,thank god i always copy my local folder to another drive,i would have been spitting broken glass if i had lost that folder.
Tony there needs to be a big warning when updating SERVICE PACKS
all up it takes me around 7 to 8 hours to reinstall all of my saved stuff for trainz 2010,

There are plenty of warnings about the time it takes to patch SP2. You obviously didn't look in the UserData folder either, because that is where your original local folder landed. You've probably got two copies of it now...

I have uninstalled all of 2010 and i have reinstalled it and installed sp1 and now i am scaning local folder that i had saved for routes and downloaded stuff

If i click on this thread Auran Announcements TS2010 SP2 manual patches are now available it gives know warning what so ever ,so to the average user in trainz who isn;t going to read every thread looking for a warning about a service pack it can stuff your game right up and it didn;t state at all how long it takes to load it either.
