Hi Trainzers,

I am looking for information (preferably a track diagram, but if not information describing it) for Norton Bridge Junction (north of Stafford) on the West Coast Mainline (UK). As I'm not based close to that area of the WCML, nor travel on it much, I haven't been able to get much about it. Basically, I'm after information about how the tracks divide (to form the Stafford-Manchester part of the route) and how many are involved.

Any input is appreciated on this topic.

Not too far away from me, from experience of travelling that route, it's double Track from Norton Bridge to Stoke on Trent on the Manchester line and where it joins the line from Rugely also double track. Just checked, should be able to workout the track layout from Google Earth or Google Maps which appears to be pretty clear for a change!

Thankyou for the info Malc - I will have a look on Google Earth. Reason why is because I'm re-working the line between Stafford - Crewe/Stoke on Trent. I notice you mention the line from Rugeley - any ideas how that diverges from Rugeley?

Network Rail sectional appendix current 2012 : London North western (north) http://www.networkrail.co.uk/browse...on north western north sectional appenidx.pdf

Page 113 on adobe reader or NW1001 (seq 5 and 6) on another reader covers the track layout at Norton Bridge (Not signalling)

Page 109 for Rugeley

Page 110 for colwich junction where the direct line to Stone and Stoke on trent diverges

If you can find them the Network Rail "Yellow peril" resignalling booklets NRNW 008 and 009 they cover the resignalling done in 2004 at Norton Bridge (which included the closure of the signal box)

P.S. Did you get the email I sent you yesterday?

Thanks Dave - I have also replied to the email.

P.S. That document's taught me some interesting bits and bobs regarding Rugeley Trent Valley itself, which will come in useful for another part of my project.
