Industry signs.

Are there any blank signs or such that may be easily written for naming Industries?
If it is a matter of modifying existing ones is there any articles on doing so?

Depends how big you want them.
station sign kuid 2:1604:28017:1
Industry sign, kuid 30671:23104.
both nameable.

Thanks, didn't find the Industry sign quoted but there are others by llj which I have downloaded.

Also check these. They come in many sizes:

Warehouse Sign by llj; Kuids beginning with 30671
Type On Sign by ish6; Kuids beginning with 58223

I've been thinking about making some large signs which could be used for naming factories etc. - but they'll have to wait until ny current project is finished!

In the meantime, you might find the following useful (under my Kuid, 275817):

'Nameboard' - intended for use on station platforms, these are in various lengths, and some have no supporting posts.
'Public sign' - smaller, intended to be used on station buildings to identify waiting rooms, ticket, office, etc.
All renameable.

To find them on the DLS you will need to check 'TRS2004'.

Couldn't find any way of writing notes on the board when making examples ie just made a gradients example I can refer to if I ' lose my way'.
Used a warehouse sign as a stick-it note, the text hangs over the ends and sticks out like sore thumb, just the job.
The best way is to use HTML but a little long-winded.
I do a similar thing when when programming in Python.
Another use for your signs.

I've just made a factory sign (for want of a better name) 20 feet long by 4 feet high, modified from one of my platform signs. It needs testing in Trainz to get the font size right, then I will upload.

The problem is that a project like this could be unending - how many different lengths and heights of sign are needed? - I suspect that this all depends on the individual user. However, I am happy to make a small range of sizes each with just two graphics files ('board' and 'frame') so that users can modify them to their choice of colours and save them under their own KUIDs. It will also be possible to change the fontsize and colour in the config file, again saving under the user's own KUID - but giving me ccredit if published (as may be needed if used in a route).

Watch this space!

I have 7 new re-skinnable factory signs which will be released with my Evansville Western route, hopefully some time before Easter...
