Industry Loads and Train Speed

Searched throughout the forums for a fix, but haven't been able to find one. I'm obviously doing something wrong but can't figure it out. Whenever I load a car at an industry or a MIN, when the train departs to go to another location it reaches a top speed of 22 mph and will not increase speed to the posted limits. However, if I just couple onto the car and do not load it, the consist runs at the posted limit. Gotta be something with the industry portion of the setup but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. Can someone point me in the right direction, be very much appreciated. Thanks

Couple of thoughts here. If you're using two locos lashed together make sure that the two locos have the same enginespecs or are close to being the same. They might be fighting each other. If just one loco make sure it has enough hp to pull the weight. Rule of thumb = 1hp/ton, I hope that is correct, read it here on the forum. Yes, these are obvious but sometimes you can't the forest because of the trees. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll look at that, but I'm only trying to pull one car and it doesn't matter what type of engine I use, but you never know.
