In remembrance of a special Trainzer….

Two years ago, on September 5, 2007, a very special Trainzer left our Community.

Yes, HJP, Harry_James_Potter, beanpole, beanie, bean, Alastair…..moved on.

Can we all step back a moment, put our differences aside, and remember him,… his knowledge of trains and Trainz, his help given freely to those with questions…and…. his humor.

Respectfully,

It was certainly a sad day in the History of Trainz. So many people where effected by his passing away.

aardvark ,

A nice rememberance post , does not seem like two years since we received the sad news !

Alistair , RIP --- ,dave

Good bloke, sad that he is no longer with us. Alistair will be remebered as a nice bloke, always good for a laugh.

I met Alistair once, he came to Brisbane a few years ago. We had a big do with Auran crew, back when Lance and Henk were still there.

Awesome bloke was Alistair, I think we should all pay our respects to this character known as Alistair.

I think I was the last person to speak to HJP as I last talked to him on the day he passed on. May he R.I.P. :(

I still can't believe it's been 2 years anyways.

Let us remember his family too.

Anyone who has suffered a loss in their family knows that it is very very hard.
Years after it happens, it still haunts you, when you walk into their favorite cafe, see their favorite railroad, or even sit where they've sat so many times, it always comes back to you, and that is when you think, I won't see him sit down next to me.
It is so hard, I know.

Woody.

yea well in the trainz community, Alastair was always made fun of. there was the old saying "Never have a AI near a Catch Point, especially Alastair." Well it is different now.

Yes it is a sad day and one charecter was mentioned alastair who driven several of my american steam locomotives,he was a nice guy.:(

Two years :(. I do miss him, he gave me a great experience in letting me have a cab ride and drive in his locomotive.

He was always there in chat. I met him once in Toronto at a train show. He was so excited to be there, surrounded by Candian Trainzers.

Good Times,

Boco

I knew exactly what this thread was about before I clicked on it.

Good ol' HJP. May he rest in peace and never be forgotten.
