Importing Scripts into TRS2006/TS2010

I am currently looking at scripting and am using the tutorials written by Gerard Stafleu, these were based on TRS2004 and by creating folders under custom/scripts allowed the content to be used in TRS2004.
How do I import these folders into TRS2006 and TS2010 I must admit I have avoided experimenting in case I corrupt TRS2006.

Any help would be appreciated.
