Impatient Driver Become Backseat Driver...Literally!

This isn't a question, but rather wanting to share an amusing glitch I just watched happen while testing a grade crossing. The train reached the test track mark and stopped while still in the crossing. The cars on the road began getting backed up and one in particular was very impatient, honking and slowly rolling closer to the car before it. It kept going, right up into its back seat!

I waited to see how far it would go...it continued until it reached the stopping point for the gate, merging on top of the car in front of it! A slow motion accident! I guess this is why the game isn't called Carz...:p

I've seen that too and now that you've pointed out, I never thought of posting about it. :)

If you have SP1 installed, the cars stop short when they get to the crossing gates instead of slowing down. That's funny to see too because you'd expect the driver to go through the windshield doing that.

One of several things I wish would get fixed with Trainz are the cars. I know some people who turn traffic off completely because of how idiotic they "drive." It's saying a lot when having empty highways in urban areas looks more prototypical than having the vehicles turned on. Personally, I like having them as a nod to realism even though I'm not a stickler for prototypical.

Carz are ridiculous and nowhere near realistic. The only reason why I use them is because I don't have the willpower to place individual cars along tens of miles of road parallel to and near the tracks.
