immovable track

I have a short section of track on a turnout that I cannot delete or move, it is very short therefore no rolling stock on it.
It is sitting on layer 'track' as is all the rest. The last time this happened I selected 'edit route' which led to the scrapping of the project
Reason for re-laying is the signal report 'track terminated or is closed'
Not touching it till I get advice....

Try deleting from the objects menu, if that fails copy a grid from elsewhere and paste of the track. Before doing so save your work.

Do you have any train cars on segment of track? This can also cause the same problem.

Thanks for your help, sorted.
Found another report of 'track terminated or closed', moved the 05 signal up onto the m.i.n instead of behind it which then gave a normal report.
The use of 04 and 05 signals on a very compact layout restricts the length of a consist, often wonder if there is a better way of signalling as you would in a marshalling yard.
