hello: bad choice for a title

I built a layout has about 25 industries base boards ??, did ok puting in my rolling stock up to 400. and some of my 50ft and 60ft boxcars are white in the layout. could this be my processor not keeping up the demand on the lahyout or is it my graphics card (or both)?

my computer has 3 gb of ram, I3 processor, nvidia 9800 gt

should be good to go with these specs

That used to be problem with TRS2006. It definitely sounds like video ram to me. How much ram is on your 9800GT? Those are pretty old cards now.

these numbers does not mean anything to me but maybe to you. how about physical memory would that come into play also?

Nothing wrong with that card, it has enough power and memory to run 06 or 12, I have one in my other comp that used to run 06 smoothly.
RAM is also ok if you are running WindowsXP, if you have Windows7 then you really need to double up on that.
Your CPU is a bit of a tiddler though, i3 is not much of a gaming rig choice and could well be the bottle neck you are searching for.

reply to deano5

hey deano5:

I will be geting a new computer I got some specs for you its a 10 gb ram memory; I7 processor with 3.4 ghz with turbo boost up to 3.8 ghz. grahics is nvidia 530 2 gbs ( I never heard of a grpahics card having a 2 gb card but the specs says that) 1 tb hard drive (sata 7200 dont they make anything faster than a 7200 rpm maybe like a 10000rpm). windows 7 ultimate. do not know the ps most of time its a 400 watt need to upgrade that to 600 watt at least. vram I do not know aout that also.

just a hint I play fly microsoft flight simulator; I also play dragon age, fable, diablo II, and zombie island all runs smooth with no glitches . so what makes trs06 different from all the other games I play (answer I do not know)

Im thinking that a nvidia 560 card is better whats your opinion on that or any other members in that matter.

thanks for all to respondand took your time to answer to this post
