If you're thinking of buying Trainz Simulator 12 then RUSH to Amazon.com right now!!!

I still don't trust Amazon's downloader, amazonGSdownloader.exe, as they are incredibly elusive of any mention of that program. I may analyze it one day, but, experience has taught me, if a company requires you to install a piece of software, doesn't disclose to you what it does, or even upfront that you need to install it as a condition of purchase or use of another product, then that's never good; you probably wouldn't want it within 50 feet of your computer if you knew what it really did.

Thanks for the head's up though.

Yeah, sorry guys, just for US customers. OTOH, I've had nothing but good experiences with Amazon and have bought multiple software titles from them. Your purchases stay attached to your account so you can download them more than once if necessary.

My brother emailed me that link. I ordered it this morning and will be downloading this evening after work. Can't wait! This will be my first "Trainz" experience.

will this copy can be registered with auran.
and can someone outside usa buy this?
i am about to buy this if i got my answers

The answer to your second question has been given twice by two different people. That said, you should have no problem registering it.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up! I have downloaded from Amazon in the past, and never had any trouble with their system. That being said, I'm not really paranoid about things like that.

Excellent! :Y: I will be building my new computer sometime in March (after I pay my taxes) and this will save me a bunch. Glad I still have a US account.

Mama always said patience is a virtue.... I just bought 12 recently - digital download for $50 :'(

I actually bought it from Amazon when it was $37 which was already a good deal, but for the heck of it I emailed them and asked about the reduced price. Though they don't offer price protection, they did give me a $25.00 Amazon credit for a future purchase.

As far as registration, the download comes with an Auran software key and I had no issues registering. I've also bought a FCT with no issue and attached it to this account so I'd say it's all systems go!

Good deal, doesn't hurt to ask, and I think it was fair of them!

Darn, too bad this wasn't a week ago. With the problems I had dl'ing direct from Auran I would gladly have ordered from Amazon. I use them a lot and would have no issue using their own dl manager if mandatory.

My biggest concern is that Amazon has a past history of doing things most of us wouldn't want done, such as remotely deleting downloads people paid for. Odds are this amazonGSdownloader has similar capability. Not that anyone needed this to happen; many including myself saw it coming years earlier. That said, it's not my investment that is at risk, so I don't really care.

Ok, God of Trainz, you win. Downloading 12 now. and Murchison later. The Amazon downloader for "core" (Trainz) games is only a small Kb file. I think RRSignal, you might mean the "casual" game downloader. I just read the info pages, and they make a point of that. But.....never trust a corporation, remember they're human too!!!
