I recommend Lego Loco for you.
I recommend TC3. The graphics are very good. I have been using it for several months. The shortfall is that it does not have all the built in content that 06 has. This can be remedied by importing the content of 06 into TC3. The other shortfall is that it does not have Paintshed. This can also be fixed by packing Paintshed creations into CDP's and importing. I also have other trainz versions and basically import between all of them.

Personally I think he should get no other simulator, 4 is enough and one is an upgrade on another. Perhaps track planning software.

If you already need a committee to decide for you then I fear for your passage in this world. You are young, and should be able to make brash decisions for yourself, and be confident that you know better than everyone else in the world what you want and need. Save the voting for when you get married, and then your vote will count for nothing anyway.
Save your money and use it to buy something else, save it for 2009 at least.

The only person who called anyone an idiot is the OP. I'm saying that a REAL idiot would not have the mental capacity to realize he or she was so addled, so therefore the OP is NOT an idiot and should be able to make this decision without our help.
We know he is young. I'm trying to give him a bit of "older brother" advice, and virtually then punch him in the arm, give him some "noogies" and an Indian Burn or two!
