I was coming to a RR crossing a couple days ago when the lights started flashing and the gate came down. I noticed something was weird with the gate, as I got closer to the crossing; the gate was across the tracks at about a forty five degree angle and not the road. A BNSF grain train came through and tore the gate to shreds. He came to a stop about fifty yards from the crossing, I looked down the tracks and I could see two guys pulling parts of the gate off the front of the lead locomotive and throwing them off to the side. He then hit the gas and away he went. I returned to that crossing about fifteen minutes later and there was a railroad worker dragging the broken gate parts back to the crossing. Definitely, something you do not see every day.
