Hello:

This is something I did by accident when trying to fix a RU asset.
and I don't think I broke any cr laws.:p

Try to correct other errors first.

Its done by using notebook click Edit/Find "texture" and just high-lighting/copy just the "foreign characters.texture" it will look something like this ÈÃÀËÊÀ.texture

Make a "foreign charactersTexture.txt" and a 64x64.tga "foreign characters.tga"

Then run the *.im thru pm2im. You will get message Texture Name "foreign characters.texture"
changed to"______.texture" Created *.im.

Change your "foreign charactersTexture.txt" and "foreign characters.tga" to ______Texture.txt
and ______.tga thats 6 under-scores.

COMMIT....
I don't know why it works but it does. maybe PEV can shed some light.
I corrected 4 RU snowplows by #7001

PM2IM automatically does that without any input from you. From the PM2IM readme:
If texture names contain non-alpha-numeric characters (or non english characters) these are
replaced with an underscore, and a notice showing the old name and the new name is displayed.
The texture.txt or texture file name will require changing.

DUH! well heck I thought I did that. Maybe I forgot to change the texture.txt names.

Rube Goldburg hasn't got nothing on me.

If there is is a harder way to do Ill find it.
