I have an AI coupling problem

I have the following situation.

Single track from A to C with a switch at point B in between

A>>>B>>>C>>>>>>
>>>>|

Loc One is programmed to push a short train from A through the switch to a trackmark at C. At that point Loco One uncouples and returns to A. Loco Two is waiting on the B spur and is triggered to move out to couple to the train and push it onwards beyond C. My problem is that while Loco One does what I ask it to do if I remove the switch, if the switch is there, it will travel part way and then reverse back to the start point.

I have tried every combination of rules and driver commands that I can think of, none will work. I have ensured that the B switch is released by Loco One and set to the correct path through the switch. None of this works, the stubborn driver of Loco One will not do what I think I am telling him to do.

I expect there is is something simple I am not seeing and I would appreciate some help, what should I be using?

In case it is pertinent to the situation, I am using TS12-61388.

I fixed my problem. I used the Autopilot command which whipped the driver into submission. You can imagine my relief when the whole changeover took place.

Yeah the AI is rather stupid and I find it better to set my path up and use the auto drive command. That way the Ai does not make any decisions it just drives!
