Ok it was a couple of days ago that I had a little argument with a huge angle grinder and a diamond blade
The grinder jammed in the rock that i was cutting and now i have a 1205mm cut on my left leg and now a proude owner of 11 stitchers
so today i decided to uninstill trs2010 and instill trs2012 and patch
so i went from build 46957 to 48249 and i took ownership of MARIAS PASS ROUTE X
being at the bottom of the world it took ages to get here
(NEW ZEALAND}
And boy it was worth the wait

So now i am downloading trs2012 routes ant there is a few routes for 2012 on trainzup that look pretty good.

i well be spending a bit pf time working out
1} how to post pics on here

2}looking at what NEW assetts there are

3}trying to find instructions to print out for the M.P.R.X ROUTE
So i well let you all know how i get on.

A very precise length for the cut, your lucky it didn't take your leg off.
At least some goods come of it though.:eek:

That must of hurt. That's also a good sized gash, about 4 feet long, isn't it.

Rest up and enjoy your TS12. This is a good way to spend keep your leg up and not doing much moving around, although I would think your doctor would want you to move around some.

I look forward to seeing the pics.

Ok so in the USA you use feet and inchers I think
so the cut is 5 inchers long and about 1cm deep
but all is good

Hi , Don't spend too much time in front of the fireboxes though, too much heat on the cut might dry it out too much ...
I am still waiting for my TR12 to arrive , been 4 weeks + .
I think it's shipped by train.
Looking fwd too to see the new stuff , got stacks to learn still about downloading and checking for newassets etc.
Get well soon, angle grinders are one of the most dangerous tools around.

Hate to hear that it took an incident such as this to get you gong on Trainz again. Power tools absolutely send a lot of people to the hospital and have to be used with extreme care. I'm glad that you're okay.

As a side note though, my metric system knowledge is lacking, but I thought that there were 1000 mm in a meter, so if you're cut is 1205 mm long, isn't that longer than a meter? Are you missing a decimal in there somewhere?

Anyways, hope all goes well with your healing.

That's why I went with almost 4 feet!

I stay away from power tools. They don't get along with me at all and have bitten me a few times too. I leave woodworking to my bro whose and expert at that stuff. :)

Ya'll forgot about CENTImeters! They're between MILLImeters and Meters. 1000mm is only 10Cm which is only .1m. So the incision would only be around 5in long as Chris says.

No, I didn't forget about centimeters. A centimeter is 1/100th of a meter and a millimeter is 1/1000th of a meter or in other words
1 mm = 0.001 m
1 cm = 0.01 meter

There are 100 centimeters in a meter (hence centi)
There are 1000 millimeters in a meter (hence milli)

I'll gladly accept correction where I'm wrong.

Hi,

There are only 10mm to 1cm, therefore to convert 12.05cm you only have to move the decimal point once to the right i.e. 120.5mm (approx. 5 inches in anybodies language)

ok so there seems to be abit of confusion as to the length of my cut and as it is wrapped up i cant take a pic so think of the length of a cellphone or a cd cover then that well give you some idea
then put one cd cover on top ov another and that is how wide the cut is
at the time i was trying to cut rock to put infrount of a brick mail box that ym wonderfull wife had built out of brick
i well post pics in a couple of days

NOW ON TOPIC
now that i have got trs2012 on computer i well not be going back but i find that there are not alot of assetts and good rolling stock for 2012
so what are my choices?

and i find that the stuff arraial has built for me wont work on 2012
so i am stuck
i dont think that murchison wont work on 2012 either
so was this a good move on my part?
i think time well tell

Chris,

Never mind the confusion over the decimal places. I think that got kinda funny because people missed the point that you now have TS12.

What kind of problems are you having?

You are correct stating not a lot of built-in content, but you can download a ton of updated items from the DLS. Many older items will still work too even without updating yet.

I have a good amount of his stuff working, but sometimes others won't because they're missing unknown dependencies, which I give up on now so I delete the broken stuff. For the most part, you'll find that TS12 works quite well. (Flame suit goes on here). Or I should say, works quite well for me. There are the usual Trainz new version growing pains, but if you get the latest patch, if needed, you should be in good shape. Unfortunately N3V hasn't fixed the crash and burn merging issue yet, but they are aware of the problem. Other than that it is very stable.
 
Thanks mate for that I think I just need to go and explore TRS 2012 and see what I can do with it

Anyone care to discuss how much simpler and easier to use metric is than imperial measurements? Amusing that cvkiwi had to resort to likening the length of his cut to the length of a cell phone. :hehe:
