How to transfer my custom from TRS2004 to TRS2006 and/or 2010

I am presently using TRS04 with WinXPPro and have taken a lot of stuff from DLS as well as created a lot of my own custom content that I have NOT put on DLS. This would be mostly repaintings of cars and locos, but also layouts and modifications to previously downloaded ones. This represents many years of work, so I would like to transfer it to a higher TRS level. It is all in the form of kuids, not cdps and I don't want to make cdps (or whatever) of all of that material in order to insert it into the newer TRS programs. Any direct suggestions, or a location where I can find instructions yo do this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dick,

In Trs2004 all your custom items, i.e. items with your kuid number, should be in your TRS2004\world\custom folder. If you have a lot of custom items don't try to move them all at once, do it in batches.

The best way I have found is to copy the items to TS2010\editing folder, as above one batch at a time. Then open CMP3 and do a full database repair, this should bring them into CMP3 as open for edit, then highlight and commit them all.

Repeat this as often as needed to get all your custom items into TS2010.

For downloaded items, they are in your TS2004\world\despatcher\downloads folder, you can do the same thing with them a batch at a time. But beware, there may be some things in the downloads you don't want in TS2010 so check what you are copying over.
