Hi there, I am trying to figure out how to reskin downloaded locomotives for TS2009. If anyone could tell me how to reskin them, could you please tell me?

Thanks c38nsw

Very easy, edit in explorer and use paint or photoshop, the file is main.bmp or main.tga

Theres a little bit more work than that.

You must go through Content Manager. Find the asset you want to edit and Clone it so the original stays the same. Then right click the clone and choose edit in exploerer. Find the .TGA file or image file and edit to what you want then you need to save over it. Also edit the config to give it the new name you want.

it's not necessraily named main.tga or main.bmp. It could be named absolutely anything with a .tga, .bmp or .jpg file extension. You'll just have to go through the image files and find the ones that need to be edited. It's not necessarily just one file that needs to be edited.

Yes this is why its good to have the free program Ifranviewer installed on your computer. You can quickly go through and view the image you want.

Mike is ABSOLUTELY correct. And re-skinning isn't easy if you want a nice looking loco. I made a small tutorial somewhere on these vast forums with instructions on how I do it (using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop).

Lottsa luck,
