How to make a screenshots like this?

I suspect, and I may be wrong, but thats a render from 3DS Max or possibly Blender, not Gmax, as GMAX has, to my knowledge, never had such crisp, clear delinineated texturing ability.

While I suspect that the picture your looking at is a render from a modeling program. You can achieve a similar effect using Trainz. If you set up a blank baseboard and paint it a solid color (I use black) and then place some invisible track on it. You can then place your rolling stock (or anything else for that matter) on the "route" take a screenshot; then touch it up in your image editing program (photoshop).

You can then get images like this one:

I've just made what I call a 'photostage' for screenshots of individual models. It's a simple coloured base with a central backscene (if that's not a contradiction in terms). One side of the base is plain for buildings and other scenic objects, the other has a length of track ofr rolling stock.

Yes, that's the good idea :)

I generally find that its better if screenshots are taken in Trainz. That way you can see the all the detail that Trainz can do for it. I dont really care if it looks good in the render. If it looks good in Trainz, then it probably is. :)

I agree. Content rarely looks the same 'in-game' as in a rendering program. I like to see screenshots of how it actually will look when I download and install it.
