How to give up the tram pantograph? I think the fictional PCC trams, it's like a pantograph isn't at the tram but there is and I see this pantograph up at the mission in Ficitonal town but there be trams controlled by PC.

A Tram or Train "Trolley Pole" or "Pantograph" is "DOWN" in Suvayor Mode ; and automaticly goes "UP" in Driver session,
is that what you are asking ?

NormP.

Shane the P Key is usualy Pause in Driver session.

The way he asked the question first time was a bit confusing anyway.

Fair enough - looks like I need to check my manual then.

Shane

EDIT: Not sure if it's changed much from TRS2006 but my TRS2006 manual says it's the 1 key on the numeric keypad.

1 key on numeric keypad do nothing, although it is a key to control pantographs. I say, that it looks like there isn't pantograph at this trams, but there is. Here are a pictures:

How to do it?

Hi,

The pantograph will in normal play remain down when the tram is idle.

If you give it a Driver Command to 'drive to' (for example) a trackmark, the pantograph will rise.

Whitepass is also correct.

For some reason I have to press 'End' twice for the pantograph to react.

Cheers, John

Yes, but pantograph is still down.

Hi,

Yes it is all very puzzling to me now.

If you look at the pictures you posted one tram has two pantograph's the other only one.

The working pantograph only seems to appear in the Route and Session created by the author of the tram.

Way beyond my knowledge!

Sorry I have,nt been much help.

Cheers, John

You can't control the first pantograph because this isn a two-ended PCC but I don't mind

Cue pedantic mode - that isn't a pantograph. That's a trolley pole. I don't know why but some just don't go up at all. I have a few old Leeds one and they don't go up. On some of the old English double deck ones on Trainz I believe the trolley pole is attached to a separate bogey to keep the contact point of the trolley in line with the wire (when using a track with an attached wire (which looks ridiculous but it's all that can be done in Trainz when it comes to trolley poles))

If you're after a tram with a pantograph that raises and lowers there are a few on the DLS. The GT6, the BN LRV, the TransAdelaide Flexity and some old Blackpool ones spring immediately to mind. There are a lot of others on a particular German site that I can't for the life of me remember the url of.

Sorry I couldn't be more help to you.
