How to create and save a consist

I have read the "manual" just now, and it does not explain quite what I would like to do. I am building a route and running some driver sessions occasionally on it. Of course every time I make changes at the ROUTE level it deletes the various SESSIONS I have created, except for the one session that is named exactly like the ROUTE name. I want to be able to create several consists of locos and cars to plop down on the route occasionally to enjoy my route work.
What am I doing wrong?


Nevermind , I just found most of the info I need on another thread in General Trainz !

Edit the session not the route. If you edit route a new session is created every time. Create your consist on a stretch of track and then open the consist tab. Use the grab icon and click on your created consist, give it a name and save. It will now be in your consist library to select when you want.
