How to backup TS2009 content?

I am willing to know how to backup up content for my SP3 version of TS2009, so I can upgrade to SP4.

I am asking this because the last time it tried to install SP4, I had to reinstall Trainz and I lost all my routes that I created and all my installed content.

Before re-installing TS2009, save a copy of the local folder. It contains all of you created and downloaded kuids. After re-install copy it back the TS2009 folder.

I can't find the 'original' folder. Is 'original' the name of the folder?

I make CDPs of all custom content, great for items you corrected so you do not have to correct them again.

I copy the entire Auran folder to an external drive.

The Original folder only appears when you are running SP4.

If it's a pre-SP4 version (SP3 or below) you only need the Local folder.

If you are running SP4, it will be in the Userdata folder.
