How the Below Freezing Temperatures are Effecting Chicago's Railroads

Yesterday in Australia it was a totally scorching summertime temp of 102 F ... and Wisconsin USA was -50 F, colder than Pyongyang NK

We are experiencing weather, which is day by day occurrences

Global warming however is the yearly warming process, worldwide, from worldwide greenhouse gas emissions

China, India, and NK are the leading Countries that burn coal and wood, without any smokestack scrubbing purification filters at all ... Their Countries smog content resembles that of Pittsburgh PA in the early 1900's ... Most wear cotton masks to protect from particulate inhalation ... These Countries have the leading fatal casualties from smoke, smog inhalation ... Not to mention various out of control drug resistant viral strains, which have reached epidemic airborne infectious proportions of TB, Polio, and Measles

They have been using fire on the tracks for many, many years. It can also be useful after a derailment, as you can lay a kerosene soaked rope against a rail, light it, and it will slowly relieve the stress in the metal caused by the derailment.

That was actually the Wind Chill, not the ambient temperature. The lowest temperature ever recorded in Milwaukee was -26 on January 17th 1992 and tied on February 4th 1996.

I just talked to my daughter in Chicago and it is -12 right now with a wind chill expected to hit -57 tonight. Milwaukee will probably hit a new record tonight with a record new low temperature.

(all numbers are in fahrenheit)

Another interesting note is that in Milwaukee, the record high temperature was 105 fahrenheit July 24th 1935

(so much for global warming)
