Thats a really personal question, he he! You may want to retitle that, or maybe not, this could get interesting.

You might want to check your spelling for the word impotent:

Could be lots of innuendo to come on this thread!
Back to testing:

Sorry, all this "proves" is that the test runs much better off an SSD. Whether or not it shows that Trainz runs better would depend on how Trainz’ actual disk usage compares to the weight assigned to disk usage by the test. Tests like this are useful in evaluating the overall performance of a computer, but are not necessarily an indication of how well it will run a particular application.

Just an aside. Should I contact the Help Desk if a session lasts for more than four hours?

Trainz runs better on an SSD, no stutter or choking when an AI train comes out of a portal or moves.

Having run on both an SSD is better, unless your system choke point is in another area. Then what type of drive wouldn't matter.

I wasn't trying to say that an SSD won't improve performance in some situations. I was trying to piont out that a general bench-mark test does not "prove" that it does for Trainz. As you say if "your system choke point is in another area. Then what type of drive wouldn't matter." If you've maxed out the speed of your grapics card, cpu and memory, then disk speed could make a difference.

The fact that SSDs are better for Trainz has been point out numerous times without running any benchmarks. Right now SSDs are new technology that shows a lot of potential, but the overall cost per megabyte is still too high, even for the consumer-grade devices, and neither is their reliability, or size. In time they'll be as reliable as a regular hard drive with the same cost and size.
