How do you use portals with pc as opposed over the internet?

Hi All,
I have downloaded Tidewater North and South. I understand you can send trains and consists from one to the other within the pc mode only. How do you do that though? If you are in the North Route and send, then how do you access the south piece to move them on a destination, unload and go back to the North piece? Must you create a session in each route, then send from one to the other, then log out of that route and open the other? I am sure I am making this extra confusing for myself and am hoping someone here familiar with these 2 routes can help me out.

Yeah, basically, you have it right.

Your drive session of the sending route does not have to be saved after sending your consist to the other route. Your consist will appear in the receiving route when it is first opened in a drive session.
