How do you name an industry?

If I place a new industry....for instance a coal mine, how do I name that coal mine so that the name will show up on the map, and so that I can script a locomotive to drive to that mine?

In surveyor, using the same tab that you used to add the industry to the map, click the ? icon (extreme right on the bottom of the open tab control) and then click on the industry object you just added. This will open up the objects control window. Type in its name in the text box at the top. If it is an active industry you can also set products in, products out, quantities, etc.

Then click OK.

You can also put a track mark where train cars should be spotted for that industry. These will also show-up on the map.
