How do i get my sounds to have doppler effect/distance based loudness

I notice that whenever i use custom sounds they are always the same loudness no matter how far away your are from the sound source and there's no doppler effect/speed pitch change either but on base game and download station sounds they all have doppler and distance loudness.

If other sounds are working as expected, then I would recommend double checking that the custom sounds are in 'mono' format and not 'stereo'. Stereo sounds will not have 3d sound effects (ie doppler, or distance fading/positional sound) applied to them; these systems require the sound file to be in mono for them to work.

how would i edit sound files to the mono format on adobe audition?

I can't remember off hand if there's a specific page for sounds, however most of this is covered in the 'soundscript' entries: https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/"soundscript"_Container

OK, I see them. Searching “doppler” on the Wiki main page finds those various sound asset KINDs and the sentence where doppler and the need for mono sound is mentioned.
