When I try to download a loco I get an error page that says the download program is not installed. I see the First Class Ticket option but I do not wish to pay for faster access. Last time I was set up on the Auran site I was able to download for free. Did something change?
How do I download contenrt from the download station?

No but I would strongly suggest you purchase a FCT. Without a FCT any downloads will be slow and you will be restricted to a limit of how much you can download each day. Also the download server has a limit on the number of users at any one time and it is frequently full so you get the message "server is busy" Basically you will reap what you shall sow!
Heres what you do-
1.Open Up Trainz Lancher
2.Click Content
3.Then A Program Will Come.It Is Called Content Manger.
4.At The Top Right Of The Program You See Tabs Like Today, Modifyed, Download Station.
5. Click Download Station
6.Then Go Down To Your Lower Left. You Will See Search.
7.Type anything you want to download and hit enter.
8.On The Right will Come Up Your Selection.
9.Right-Click It And Press Download.
10.Your Download Will Begin In The Very Top-Left Coner.
11.It Will Tell When It Is Ready.
12.Have Fun!

There is not a download program with the FCT. In fact you should be able to download without a FCT apart from the restrictions I mentioned in my earlier post. Do you get this message with everything you try to download? I,m thinking the problem may be with what you are trying to download. With regard to the previous post When I want to download I click on it on the right hand side and drag it to the download box on the top left. do that with everything I want to download and then I click on the start button
If you're getting an error message, from Windows its self, and not from Content Manager, when you try to download content, means this is a permissions-related issue.
Try running Content Manager as an Administrator instead of with your login. This may solve your problem. (I'm using the normal IT-speak and never say will, which is not in the normal vocabulary. Should and may are the normal adverbs for us.)

Is there anyway I can go into the download station and look around without a first class ticket and without downloading?

Ive tried it a couple times, But didnt let me in. From the looks of it. I need to get a first class ticket in order to view the "Download station"

It is. NV3 terminated DLS support for Trainz versions prior to Trainz Classics, which sadly includes 06.
The only way for 06 to access the DLS now is with a First Class Ticket, or else purchasing a supported version.) It's why I made the jump from 04 which I'd stuck with for five years to 2010, and I'm glad I did.
