How do I backup a route

I have studied the instructions with TZ-2009 and other versions and cannot for the life of me, figure out how I would backup a route that was under developement, or which I had downloaded from the download station and now wanted to keep, but remove from the hard-drive to save space etc.

Surely there is a method of compressing a route and backing it up to some
external media?

Save the Actual Map file as a .cdp

It'll just need all the things placed that were on it beforehand to be Re-Downloaded to be usable again.

When in the Content Manager, right-click on the Map name and Click 'Save to .cdp'... :)

Then, the Map is One little file that is easily moveable...

Let's go one step further.. How do you back up a session? If you tell me the same way than for a route, think again. when I do, the session, after re-insertion, makes the game to crash. So far, nobody knows why. Any ideas?

Well I have thought again, and you back up Sessions the same way as you back up Routes .......... create a cdp file and keep it somewhere safe! If re loading a saved Session is causing you grief, then I would suggest that you saved a Session with an existing problem, or something else has changed. Computers have many attributes ........ one of which is they are frustratingly logical. If something worked yesterday, but does not work today, then something has changed!
