Yes, but to extend a litle more help, put this in the layout config.txt file for example.

NOTE: the kuids for the car lines are that you want.

car0 <kuid:67865:19999>
car1 <kuid:-1:101333>
car2 <kuid:-1:101334>
car3 <kuid:2000:40000>
car4 <kuid:60238:31>
car5 <kuid:50567:27064>
car6 <kuid:-1:100558>
car7 <kuid:-1:100527>
car8 <kuid:-1:101333>
car9 <kuid:-1:101334>
car10 <kuid:60238:27147>

Also, I think the most you can add in a config.txt file, with this method, is 16 cars numbered car0 thru car15. You can also have an additional 16 cars specified in whatever region kuid that's listed in the routes config.txt file.

The built-in region kuids for TRS2006 are:
Australia,<kuid:-1:7801>
United Kingdom,<kuid:-1:7803>
United States,<kuid:-1:7804>
Germany,<kuid:-1:7808>

You could clone one of those, rename it and add your own list of cars. I cloned one but completely edited its config.txt file using Notepad. The tag ontheright makes it drive on the right. Here is the config.txt file:

kuid <kuid:47907:1118>
trainz-build 2
category-class "YX"
username "Bobs Cars"
kind "region"
region "USA"
watercolor 38,74,92
ontheright 1
defaultjunction 100634
longitude 77,1.2,-1
latitude 38,53.4,1
altitude 0
car0 <kuid:67261:29007>

I just tried the following mixture of non-vehicle items as cars in a kind region asset and they all drive down the road ok.
<kuid:1551:27004> Crate Stack
<kuid:1942:25015> Townhouse
<kuid:1942:22069> Large Tree
<kuid:36638:10039> Person
<kuid:37235:27001> 20ft Container
<kuid:42471:22005> Railend
<kuid:523:100874> Speed Limit Sign
<kuid:30671:23000> US Bumper

hi all
you are not limited to 16 or 32 cars

all you need to do is to put the numbers in the front of the config file of the map that you are using.

i am just in the process of listing all my vehicles by:
cars
trucks
trucks semi(thats cab and trailer)
prime movers
machinery
bus
trailers
etc

of course trailers and some mascinery i will not have driving on the road
but i have found that they will al come out at different times. its great to see lots of varied traffic rather than the same few

i will post a list in the next month when i have finished converting it all

cheers
steven

Can we do this with any vehicle that is on the dls or do they have to be like the vehicles that show up in the locomotive section of surveyor?
I copied your list and put it into my route and it works fine. You computer guys are great!
Thanks,
Bob

hi bob

"Can we do this with any vehicle that is on the dls "
yes any of the normal vehicles although you will find that some have weird behaviour.
i have had some running sideways or backwards.
i just take them off the list and use them as static displays only

or do they have to be like the vehicles that show up in the locomotive section of surveyor?
the ones in the locomotive section are drivable vehicles
they are not meant for traffic

I copied your list and put it into my route and it works fine. where did you find the list?

cheers
steven

for this, do you need to add these lines to every config for routes you make or does It do this automaticly when you create a new one after the vehicles are imported?

Steven, will you please give all of us an example of what you mean by saying that you should place the numbers before the config file of the map that you are using. Thanks. Most of us (men) are visual by nature.

hi

i have just reformatted and i am waiting for a better graphics card to get shipped to me
the game is not on there as yet

open the config file of your route
at the top place the cars in numerical order
before any of the normal config file items

save and thats it

i will see if mate had one on his computer that i can use as an example

cheers
steven
