hornsound gripe

Hi all, have just downloaded some locos from I won't say where, but how can someone blowing a tune on a harmonica pass as a gp40 hornsound. Ok it sounds a little bit like one I guess but it clearly sounds like a harmonica ( unless gp40's used a harmonica for a horn! )

Well jazza,
Creators build locos and rollingstock to suit themselves and with what resorces they have or can find. If you don't like a hornsound then change it to one you do like instead of gripeing about something you got for free anyway.

Do you know how to change hornz using the CMP, it's relatively easy.

Open the config file, find where it says hornsound, and paste a new kuid from a horn that you download into it. USLW has some good hornsounds for download.

I tried several configs, but I guess i am missing something it the text, I cannot get any sound for my assets now, even the old Autocar horn!

You also need to amend the KUID Table at the bottom of the config

Was wrong name, I changed to just Horn (Wav) and it works just fine! There is nothing in the kuid table to change, what to put there, is only the horn sounds!
