I have been playing trainz for a fairly long time, and it was stupid of me to not join the forums. I just bought TS2009 and i have a question...

- Some of the stuff in my surveyors is created by other players. How do i get it? Does it download ´´featured´´ stuff, or does it just download everything? Or am i wrong, and it is created by Auran? (It says that it is from download station in content manager though)

Edit: Oh, another question: Where is the trainz paintshed for the 2009 version? I remembered that i had one in the 2004 version...

If it is in Surveyor, then it is in the game and you just use it. If however you mean that it shows up in CM in the download station tab, then you need to download it by dragging one or more items into the downloads box and clicking on download. It will download and install and be available for use.

There is no Paintshed for 2009 and higher as the company considers it obsolete.

To get third party creations you must download them from the DLS. Open CM2 (Content Manager). Drag any asset you wish to download into the upper left (download) window. You may add other items as well. Click the start button at the botttom of the window and CM2 will retrieve the items from the DLS. Once you have the assets you need to edit them for errors and then committ them. You may have other questions as you learn the process.

I do not believe Paintshed comes with or is supported by TS2009.

There is no Paint Shed with TS2009. Paint Shed created rolling stock will work with TS2009.
Wasn't Paint Shed once called Paint Shop?
