Any-who, I recently heard of a site https://www.heritageunits.com/Main/ I say heard as, I'm quite sure I have heard of it before, but never took the time to investigate into it. I don't know exactly how popular it is, but it is certainly a great idea. So here is how it works... As a member, say you are out rail fanning, or even stopped at a grade crossing and you see NS 1066. Now you can go to the site, and put in that you saw it, what direction it was heading along with other details. It really is a great idea; the catch is, you have to have active member though. Each post is time stamped so it may show a locomotive just outside your town but in all reality it passed though hours ago, and no one down the line reported it. I think it is a great idea and I hope more people see it!
