Ok have you tried the For anyone who has bought UTC thread?
Which scenario is this?
What version of UTC are you running?
Have you checked for missing dependencies with a program called TrainzObjectz?

Ok, before you say anything, im not crazy, but I went onto my collection on the game, then the rest started working!!!!!!!

UTC comes with a second disk which goes to 1.5 build 404, and if you run this second disk through on installation it'll do it for you.
There are a multiplicity of things that can upset it and here are three we've met.
1. Breakpoint..............which means that the installation is not in a directory. Unlikely if you've had it working once.
2. Access hardware violation........render .dll................which means that you're having problems with the 3d engine. You may be trying to run in a resolution or mode unsupported by your graphics card. Try open GL and Direct X both of which can be accessed by the configure menu at the launcher.
3 How full is your hard disc?........you may not have room for a call stack.
Recommendations......de and re-install Trainz and bump it up to build 404.
Try your surveyor option first and see if that works. Go to driver, do the same, and then try your scenarios.
If after this it still doesn't fly, your recourse finale I'm afraid is to contact Auran and see if they can help out.

I am posting this here because it relates to Calum's problem. because this seems to be the only place I'm allowed to post anythying, and because it simply doesn't appear to be of any importance to Auran.
Some weeks ago I sought help with a problem and was referred by Alan Yeomans to a particular thread - which I "did not have permission" to access. There has been a thread on this issue and various apparently specious excuses such as "we don't have an administrator" or "it's the weekend". (seems like Australia has particularly long weekends!)
I don't like bitching about things, but these niggles mar what would otherwise be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. At the age of nearly seventy I have discovered virtual railroading and I don't like being told I'm not grown-up enough tp participate in the discussions or read the relevant advice.
I feel better now I've got that off my chest.
