Helping AI

Just once I managed to jump in the drivers seat of a stalled AI, move it, then send it on its merry way to complete its mission.
Anyone know how it is achieved, thanks,
Rog

Foiund it! After nineteen views obviously everyone designs superior circuits and never needs to do it :)
Experimenting with a mini circuit I find, 'Stop Train', manually drive, 'Continue Schedule' does the trick.

Just make sure when you send it on its merry way, you are not over a switch set divergent to the trains forward motion. Switches lock in manual driving, but there is no guarantee they will lock in alignment with the train.

It happens when you manually back up over a convergent switch thrown against the train (with derail tolerance invoked) and then resume the AI and go forwards. The switch is locked in the mis-aligned position. The least disruptive way out of it is to completely back up the entire train over and clearing the offending switch.
