Help with Trz06. Installed correctly, ran ok until now.

I hope im in the right place. I believe this may be a hardware problem, maybe my computer cant handle all the data?. Anyway, I installed Trainz 06 and ran it correctly for a while. I downloaded alot of items from the Download Station. Now i can get the launcher to work but most of the time when i click launch the game stops responding. If it runs, i go into surveyor and begin putting splines down then the game crashes. Any help appreciated. My specs-------->
Windows Xp SP3 Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz. Memory: 2816MB RAM Direct X 9.
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS (X2) 512mb Video Ram. All drivers updated to current versions.

noting the i can see from your specs would cause this error

if you have downloaded a lot of stuff or made routes .. ect backup and reinstall trainz

It sounds like TRS2006 is trying to update data it's files, since you loaded all that stuff on. 06 dosent tell you this, it just go's blank or stays on one of the startup screens yet it,s busy working behind the screens.

A way to find out is to:-
1 bring up the windows task manager.
2 clik on the processes tab.
3 look under image name for ContentsManager.
4 go across the line and under where it say, CPU, look at the counter,
if it say 00 the game has frozen if the counter is active then go and mash
a cup of tea as this normaly takes a while
