Help with substituting defunct KUID's

Hi again, guys.

I have a quick question this time. I'm trying to replace the defunct bogey kuid 45681:19000 with a new bogey, kuid 45681:50001 for the TTX double-stacks I downloaded (made by Boweavel). However, even after replacing the defunct bogey with the new bogey in CCP, and after "committing", the CMP still shows the TTX cars as "missing dependencies". The 19000 kuid still shows up, even though I replaced it.

How do I delete those references for the 19000 kuid completely, and substitute ALL instances of 19000 kuid with the 50001 kuid? Is there any chance of doing it in one go or something? The other kuids check out for the TTX cars.

When the TTX cars are fixed, then all my missing dependencies will finally be fixed and up to date after 2 solid nights of slaving away at my computer.

only guessing, clone the ttx, rename it,then put the bogie on it commit and cmp should be happy.
or do as I do and ignore the missing deps because more often than not it's because the item was designed for 2004 and 2006 will show them as faulty or missing deps.

Problem is, there's 10 different TTX cars to fix.

And yes, I'm using TRS 2006.

In the config file(s), did you replace all references to kuid 45681:19000 with kuid 45681:50001? It should be mentioned both in the bogey fields and in the kuid-table. If you didn't replace all the references, the CMP will still think the asset uses kuid 45681:19000.

That's the only thing I can think of that might be causing the problem you describe, so I hope that helps,

I did "Edit in Explorer" then opened the config.txt, and did the changes. Plus confirm it in CCP, and then commit. Worked like a charm, all the TTX's are now functional.

Thanks so much Madeline!

Are you aware that this type of advice is causing lots of additional problems for users? CMP and the simulator can have problems when badly configured items are used. Your advice could be the start of a new wave of undeserved complaints about TRS06 here on this forum and lots of grievences for the user.

Veristek,
sorry, miss read ccp for cmp otherwise would have advised as Madeline.
Zwabberaar,
as i said in my post (only guessing) having miss read it. i have put replacement bogies on vehicles and they have been 50mm above the track, obviously the fixing point being too high for the bogies. Then change them for others until I get a realistic set with wheels and axles that rotate at rail level.
you have to find the items on CMP to get the kuid number so therefore it would show up if they were faulty.
If I were a novice i wouldn't go near cmp until I was happy I could do so with confidence, in this instance I agree with you, to me there are many who might without a thought.
it's called a learning curve, for some a little too sharp.
Whenever I reply on this forum it's meant to help.
