Help with planet Auren please

First of all I hope this is the right area to post such a query and if it isnt I apologies.

My problem is this, I went to change the email address for my planet auren profile and accidentally typed my_email@gmail.com, rather than my_email@googlemail.com. Doing so also re-set the password, so there is nothing I can do now to get back in.

This wouldn't be such a big problem except for that I had made my name and identity public which is currently causing me a serious security problem. The whole point of my attempt to edit it last night was to make this private and change the details :'(.

Does any one on here have any similar experiences or hints on how to get it sorted, e.g. are their moderators around who can sort this?

Did you not Click on the link forgotten Password? on the log-on screen of your Planet Auran Profile.

Try that and if still no luck, e-mail Helpdesk:

Thanks Ahsan, but that was where I made the mess up.

I assigned the account to a email address that doesnt exist, because I typed <<email_addy>>@gmail rather than <<>>@googlemail.

Not sure if this is the case everywhere but in some European countries google had to stop using gmail for their mail addresses... now as I normally use a gmail account I forgot the one I was trying to assign the auran account was '@googlemail.com' rather than '@gmail.com'.

One idea I had was using a proxy server to use the USA version of google to make the coresponding '@gmail.com' account. However I dont think google will let you do that if it already exists as '@googlemail' or vice versa.

Oh what a mess!!

just to follow up on this Im pleased to say I got a response from the help desk on what must have been Monday morning for them, so a very quick turn around.

Thanks for the suggestions you guys made.

I'd also like to point out that happily it seems that the help desk is now being fully monitored, and from my experience I would say they are very efficient and a credit to Auran.
