hi guys,

i started building my route last night and i placed a class 90 from 2004 onto the tracks with some mk3's also from 2004, i set off but could not get over 30mph the line speed was 90 but i did not have a chance?

i dont know if just to give up with my old payware from 2004, i still cant get my class 170 to work or class 222.

help please, what am i doing wrong.

ps, yes i took the parking brake off!!! :p

Signals"

We can assume you have signalled the line?
You have previously 'set' the route for the main line in Surbeyor, otherwise your train will continually need to change points ahead of it which will keep the speed down.

hi,

no its fine when the AI are driving, its just when iam driving the class 90 i cant get the loco up to any good speed. i think i had the same with the HST. the class 60 and 66 are fine. they were all made for trainz 2004.

You might want to mention what version you're trying to use now and if you're trying to use DCC or Cab mode. That said, I recall reading something about having to change the engine specs in order to use some old locomotives in newer versions of Trainz.

As I understand it, AI uses the DCC to drive a loco. If AI is ok then DCC mode should be ok. CAB uses other parameters in the enginespec so that may be your problem, tho you did say what method you use to drive the loco.

Hi All: I downloaded one of Ben Neals engines, and it would only operate in Cab Mode..So I changed the engine spec and it worked just fine in DCC..So anytime your engine does not perform well chances are that is the problem..
