Help Please?

My computer has had 3 hard shut downs in the past week. I have tried to get trainz to work, however it is not working.
My copy will NOT accept my CD key. Can ANYONE please help me?

Dust & Cleaning inside PC.

Apply new CPU thermal paste.

Temporarily turn off antivirus and firewalll during Trainz installation.

Answer YES ... Install, to all questions posed during Trainz installation

Possible causes:

Hardware failure
Harddrive Failure
Malware Infection
Virus
Issue with Trainz

You first have to determine if this is happening only when you run Trainz, which you did not state. You just stated that Trainz would not run, which could be due to issues with your PC. You gave almost no information for anyone to help with your problem.

I had help from a friend on skype and things are working sort-of
will update after the extended database repair that has been happening for past half hour

with a LONG database repair, everything is back to normal

let it be noted this is how I fixed it:

I went into options, hit reset to default, and reset default settings. THEN, I proceeded to place my CD key and my Auran username/password, then it did a LONG database repair, and all is fine now.
The error message I was receiving was this "you have entered an invalid cd key, make sure you are typing english characters"
