Hi there

I am sure there is a logical and simple answer to this question - but I cannot figure it out.

i have a container station that has about 50 20ft and 40ft containers in it.

I have a train with industry enabled flat cars that are supposed to be able to take 20ft and 40ft containers, but no matter what I do - the containers will not load from the container station. I have tried several different industry enabled container cars but none seem to work.

Is there a guide on how to use the container station that comes with TS2010 so that my container train will actually load or is some nice person out there able to tell me what I need to do to make it work?

I also have a sea port which will be used to unload the containers once I actually get them loaded.

Cheers and thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Rod,You can have only used the Container Station,or the Basic Container station and both are industry compliant.I had the same problem until I used the 50ft UP Flatcar then they loaded.Hope that helps :) Rusti

Rod. You may be using the wrong type of stock. The container station will work with various wagons and not with others. I don,t think the lars wagons will work so try the auran ones.

Start CMP, find the 20ft or 40 ft container kuid, right click and select 'View Dependent Assets' to get a list of items that can handle the container. That will include rolling stock as well as industries.

Hi Guys

Thanks for your assistance. Very much appreciated.

Any industry interactive flat car ought to be able to carry any load. (Whether that car will show the load can be another story, try to put wood chips on a flat car and not only will you only be able to carry a tiny amount, you won't be able to see it.) So as long as the load is appropriate for the traincar, and it's industry interactive, then you ought to be able to load it. You may however have to configure the traincar to accept that particular load, and may have to figure out which load point (on cars with multiple load points) to use.

To configure what loads a traincar can carry, click the properties tool (question mark) on the traincar tab and then click the traincar in question. You can also configure industry behavior using the properties tool on the scenery object page. (With some industries, you can actually configure what products they produce and/or consume. Multiple Industry New is an example of that.)
