:'(Yesterday i when i was patching trainz 2009 service packs the patch were not installed but automaticly restarted my computer:eek::eek::eek::eek:.. why ?

I'm not sure why it happened, but it happened to me too. But, I re-downloaded the file and it patched fine. Could be a corrupt fat file trying to load into memory and trying to fit where it doesn't belong? Or, simply not having a declared amount of memory at all, and trying to stuff all that file into where-ever? But, freaky, yes? Hope that's all it was for you too.

:confused: no i had re-downloaded it twice.. but it wasn't working

oof. well, it must not have been that, then. but, i can't think of anything else i did different. but, it seems like a memory problem with my machine and that file. some kind of conflict. maybe trying in safe-mode would be the next thing i'd do. i'm running xp-pro, by the way.

Is it possible that your problem may be caused by NOT having your TS2009 registered?

Just a thought.....

Regards,

No. I really think that's going down the wrong road, because it's an internal problem with the computer and the file -- there's no Steam-like checking. In any case, mine is registered and I had the same problem the first time I tried to update. More helpful might be the suggestiion that both his files were corrupt -- it happens.
