Hi All.
Came across something odd when I was scrolling through the textures. After downloading some Polish items I found I had new textures. Found one with hexagonal tiles (floor pattern) and thought I would try it out. I tried it on an area that already had a "wrong" texture and to my surprise - instead of the hexagonal tile pattern it seemed to be clearing away the old texture and replacing the original base board pattern, including the 5mtr grid in grey. I played a bit more and by knocking the direction over to 45 degrees it was obviously painting the baseboard with the base board pattern - but at an angle.

Have no idea what is going on because when I open it up in surveyor all the correct "bits" are there - including the tga file. By all accounts it should be laying down the tile pattern. Not complaining as it is a handy item to have as it matches the baseboard grid pattern exactly.

Have any of you seen this happen before?

Yes the texture is actually faulty. If you use the preview option in Content manager it will either not display or just show you a basic grid pattern.

The default "skin" of an empty baseboard is also just a texture.
It is by default not listed in surveyor (as far as I know), but if you change that in the config file or make a new texture using that image you get / can do what you just experienced.

Hi Malc - In content manager preview I get the tile image showing. The one in question is by drstrach and kuid <kuid2:283523:21081:1> "DRS Hexagonal concrete tile"

Config is in the wrong format for a Ground texture with a normal map in TANE

needs both tga entries changing to texture and the two texture.txt files creating, works then.

two minute fix.

The grid is listed in TANE by the way under Grid....
