Have I been cheated?

I bought a copy of world builder at a large train show Sunday in Fairfax VA.
1. The receipt has no info on the seller.
2. I can not find a serial number anywhere.
3. Am waiting for them to put thru the charges so I can get their ID and stop the payment or get the serial number.

I will post additional info as I get it.

Its not up to the seller when it comes to software. Its up to the developer in this case it is Auran.

It depends where he is. If it's a second hand or pirated version I'd say Auran isn't particularly liable.

I should note I'm not entirely sure how activation for TRS works (methinks it first makes sure it's a valid serial number, then later on "phones home" to the server to make sure it's a legal serial number).

I assume you checked to make sure the serial was 100% correct (letter for letter and number for number)? Have you tried opening another ticket (or adding onto your current one)? I imagine that tickets occasionally get lost in the numerous stacks of cyberpaper. :o Another theory (but I strongly doubt it) could be that you're being ignored because it's assumed you're an actual warez user trying to hitch a free ride; maybe you could also attach some type of proof-of-purchase (such as a photo of the receipt, or the box, CDs (or DVDs), serial...)?

Cheers.

Edit: Well never mind then, looks like Spiffy has this covered!
