Has anyone created a split-level station (2 upper platforms, 2 lower platforms)

Moderators - if this is in the wrong place, please move it to the correct forum.

As in the title, I am looking for a station with 4 platforms in the following manner (I'm trying to make a realistic version of both the Snow Hill lines (UK) and the Birmingham New Street - Wolverhampton lines, among others, and the tricky point is Smethwick Galton Bridge).

As UK trainzers will probably know, Smethwick Galton Bridge has two platforms on the higher level, and two platforms on the lower level - the lower level platforms are at a 90 degree angle to the higher level platforms.

At the moment, I am having to use two seperate stations, but it is making naming the station(s) tricky (as the real one is Platforms 1-4, with Platforms 1 and 2 on the higher level, and 3 and 4 on the lower level)

A rough diagram is as follows: (apologies for size) - platforms should be long enough to handle 6 car trains.

Key:

X=Track
Numbers - Platform numbers
Top to bottom line - lower level (continues below upper level)
Left to right line - upper level

X X

X X X 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 X
X X X 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 X

I can provide more information on the station layout if needed.

Apologies for this thread, but after an issue with my layout, I'm having to rebuild said station, and the naming of it is proving difficult, as it is the only station on the layout with said layout, although I do have a few stations elsewhere where there is a gap between the lower level tracks (Tamworth, Lichfield)

I can understand if there are no interested creators, although if a station with such a layout already exists, please provide a link.

If you are wondering why I am not creating such a station, it's due to my Aspergers Syndrome (partly), and because even though I did try content creation a while ago, I could not get to grips with it.

I am prepared to wait a while for it, as I can do a makeshift station (albeit with the naming issues)

I am also interested to know if there are any ways round this issue, if no one is able to help with said station (also, if anyone else has added said station on their routes, I am interested to know how they did it)

OK - I will have a look.

Thankyou for the information Euphod.

EDIT: Any ideas what the name is - it looks like ISH has a lot of assets.

Just having a look at it - will report back on how I get on.

P.S. Did the edit at the bottom of the first post appear OK to you? The link shows the actual station layout (and a picture)

Thankyou for the suggestion, unfortunately, due to a few reasons I will not be able to use it in that part of the layout (it's a good asset, don't get me wrong there)

Unfortunately, it does not appear to be passenger enabled (unless I'm missing something), also it appears to only have 2 platforms (I have added a link on the first post to the actual station layout at Smethwick Galton Bridge)

I may still be able to use that asset elsewhere on the layout though.

Any further suggestions on this topic are welcome, and apologies if I appear to be fussy.

I would think it would be something doable using the AJS Invisible station kit, which are highly flexible.

I made a multilevel station by using a combination of a subway kit for the lower level and regular platforms above. It was a bit of a pain to setup, but this was done before the layers came about. (I can't recall if they're in TS2009). Anyway this worked pretty well as it allowed for 8-tracks above and 6 tracks below.

I treated the setup as separate stations, naming the lower one as Eastport lower lever Tracks 9 & 10, Tracks 11 & 12, and Tracks 13 & 14. The reason this ended up this way is because I couldn't find a 6-track subway terminal. This worked, although a bit clumsy.

To cover up the lower station, I used AJS and ISH splines, buildings, and other objects. To the casual observer, there was only a single station above with some of the platforms on a bridge. The FMA bridges are perfect for this.

Thankyou for the suggestions so far - it's given me a few ideas on how to deal with the issue.

If you are wondering how I'm currently dealing with it, it is using two of the Station Platforms 2 130m assets in a crossover format, although as you can guess, it's tricky to get the platform numbers correct - I think the AJS method will probably be best, due to it's platform numbering (just wish I had an idea on how to connect the two together)

Ive got a station on my route, its got an 8 track juntion station raised above ground and a two track section below ground all done using the AJS kit, and Ive still got to add another two platforms for the underground transit section. however it does still count as three seperate stations and as oposed to using platform numbers on the station names i used their purpose, for example the 8 track section is call Belmont Junction (main) and the two platform section is listed as (high speed)

AJS tho is the best way of doing unusual station layouts

in 09+ (maybe earlier) if you name two stations the same name they will automatically link together for driver rules. so if they are both called "Smethwick Galton Bridge" and one set is platforms 1&2 and the other set is platforms 3&4. then in Driver you when you issue your "Drive To" command you'll find all 4 platforms under "Smethwick Galton Bridge"

Sounds good to me.

Unfortunately, my game's just gone belly up, so I'm having to reinstall it (I've backed up my content luckily).

Once that's done, I will try the suggestions.

Shane

EDIT: I still haven't had chance to try out the suggestions yet - had to deal with issues elsewhere in the map.
