Harpers Ferry Area *Large Shots*

Hey guys. I probally know what u are thinking, "His guy is making another route! Hey is mad!" I probally am. :hehe: But his is my first dem in Trainz 2009!!! So it will work in 12.

On to the route. It is from the Harpers Ferry DEM on the dls. I will probally ony do the town and a little bit in Maryland too. Useing JR's track and grennerys trees as always. I think it it just a great area to model. It is a challenge in itself, with the bridges and tunnel right after. I am sorry if someone else it making it, i did not mean to mock. I need some one with 09 to help me. To do the tunnel and roads. But if u have anything over 09 please use 09. WARNING i have no SP patch. Yea. 3 track one side and a switch in the tunnel! Anyone want to help or can anyone make a object in 3ds for it?? Tell me how the route looks in general.

Thanks guys. I got more work done last night but that tunnel is really bothering me.

Tunnels that go through a nearly vertical cliff are easy !

You have to finagle the tunnel portal, so that the two tracks only go through only one 1x1 Dighole area square, and raise and lower the Dighole corners, by grabbing each corner and tug them into height placement, so that the tunnel portal can be inserted, with no holes showing around the portal.

Twee's and Schwubbery can help hide a multitude of sins.

"Big Block Head"-"Snap To Grid" tunnels are sometimes a pain ... and static scenery Portals, or very short segments of Viaduct Splines, make excellent tunnel portals.

Looks good! I visited the Washington, DC area last May. Went through Harpers Ferry and Charles Town as well. And I'll tell you, it was hard to get pictures of the bridges from Highway 340 because of all the stupid trees. Your route needs some more trees... :hehe:
