Hi,

I have an idea to mount a Hackintosh just for Trainz and perhaps
I try to Gmax. Did I choose a good config?


Here is basically the chosen config:


Motherboard: Gigabyte GA Z68MA D2H B3

Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K (3.4 GHz)

Graphics Card: NV GTX 460 (secondhand)

Power: Antec Hight Current Gamer 520M 80plus Bronze

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile blue series 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL9


HDD: Seagate Momentus 7200.1 XT hybrid SSD 500 GB SLC NAND Flash 4 GB

+ Seagate Barracuda 1TB Spinpoint SATA 3

Box: Fractal Design Define Mini Black.

I would get a more powerful PSU. Antecs are good, and tend to output their rated current, but you might want to future-proof your build a little.

Maybe get a better GPU (look, what is supported).
CPU is great (you do 3d work). What cooler will you use?
Ram should be enough.
