Hack/mod to increase maximum brush size in TANE surveyor?

The maximum terrain brush size in the surveyor of TANE is too small. Is there a config file that determines the brush constraints and can be changed? A mod that increases the brush size?

My problem with it is just the opposite, I'd like to be able to have a smaller diameter with more defined edges.

Yup. :D

I find zooming out helps when editing because the smaller cursor scales smaller and makes covering areas I want easier. I've done this since at least TRS2006.

If you think the maximum brush is too small, my guess is...
... you love the checker block effect
... have not discovered yet that you can select a large area and just fill it

To fill a large / huge area, use the "Select area" option found in the bottom left of the Paint tab, select and area and click on the "Fill area" button found to the right of that button previous.

But unless you are painting grain fields or something similar, it would not use it at all and paint your landscape with the smaller most possible brush while keeping one of the rotate buttons pressed.

Did you guys all miss the part of his post where he said terrain brush? I have to agree with OP. When doing large scale terraforming it can be very annoying to be limited to that relatively small circle when raising, lowering, and smoothing terrain out, especially on bigger routes.

If I remember correctly, Ctrl and Shift are also useful with that terrain brush and the radius is changeable on the land tab.

If I have large chunks of terrain to bring up to a given level, I use the small circle to raise just enough to put a copy/paste square around that raised portion. Then go around Pasting nothing but terrain. You can do a whole bunch of boards in no time at all.
